EpiMinutes began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when its YouTube channel was first launched. Over time, it grew into a broader educational platform, extending to Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), a LinkedIn group, and the pocket-book series Epidemiology Everyday.

MBBS, MS Epidemiology, PhD
Dr Kazi Mizanur Rahman is a public health professional with more than 25 years of experience. He graduated in medicine from Dhaka Medical College, holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology from Harvard University, and completed his PhD at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health at the Australian National University.
He worked for a decade as a public health researcher at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh, and served for five years as adjunct faculty at the James P Grant School of Public Health in Bangladesh. In Australia, he has held academic roles at several universities and has also worked as a Senior Epidemiologist in NSW Health.
Dr Rahman's research interests include infectious diseases, child health, nutrition, environmental health, and One Health.
